12th May
Dear Pam,
Mum and dad have gone to the cinema so I’ve
decided to write to you.
I’ve been looking after Jo and Alan all evening
now and they are driving me mad! You’ll never guess what they’ve been doing.
They’ve been turning the TV on and off all
evening. They’ve been doing the same thing with the video, too. They’ve been
using Dad’s camera and taking lots of photos. Dad will be very angry. To keep
them busy I let them take my cassette recorder and listen to music… and they’ve
been playing it really loudly. I may get short of hearing soon. Another idea –
to do the vacuum cleaner! They’ve been pulling the vacuum cleaner up and down
the stairs.
Luckily, nothing has happened to it yet… And
they think they are good at cooking. So they’ve been running backwards and
forwards to the fridge non-stop. Poor fridge! No wonder it’s making such a
strange noise. Guess what they’ve been doing for the last two hours… They’ve been
making pancakes!
Oh no! There’s a terrible noise coming from the
kitchen. I must go. I have no idea what they’re doing now! I’ll write again
soon.
Love from,
Kate
