Dear Francesca,
We’re having a fantastic time here in the Mexico. We’ve visited some amazing places like the Mexico City and the Palenque, where there are the pyramids just like the ones near the Cairo. The people are really nice here and they don’t laugh when I try to speak to them in the Spanish! Last night there was a special party with a fantastic food and a wonderful music. By the time we got to bed the sun had already come up!
See you when I come back!
Love,
Adam

Egypt is the country that people usually associate with pyramids but there are pyramids in many other places around the world. One of these places is the island of Tenerife, which is in the Canary Islands. There are six step pyramids near the town of Guimar in the south of the island. Nevertheless, these pyramids, which are made of black volcanic stone, are very controversial. Many scientists believe the structures, which were only discovered fairly recently, are simple natural stone terraces and not a mysterious wonder of ancient times. Thor Heyerdahl, the famous Norwegian researcher, who spent the last years of his life on Tenerife, claimed the pyramids were, in fact, made by humans who had used building techniques that were similar to those used to build pyramids in Mexico, Peru and ancient Mesopotamia.

Raspuns posibil:

In the beginning of time, the Rabbit was a great hunter. One day, he went hunting in the forest as usual, but the forest was empty. ‘Someone has hunted all the animals already,‘ said Rabbit. So he went home with no meat and, as a result, he had only grass to eat for supper.
Rabbit decided to catch the hunter and, therefore, he put a magic net in the forest. The next morning he got up and looked in the net. He saw a very bright light and heard some loud angry shouts.
Rabbit realized that he had caught the sun! ‘I will never hunt again!’ cried the Rabbit. ‘You must release the sun,’ said the other animals, ‘or it will be dark forever.’
Consequently, Rabbit went back to the net and released the sun. As the sun rose into the sky, it burnt the Rabbit’s shoulders. And this is why the Rabbit now has brown shoulders, and is not a hunter, but eats only grass.
