I: Is your brother older or younger than you?
S: He’s sixteen … that’s three years younger than me.
I: What are you studying at the moment?
S: Journalism. Both my parents are doctors but I wanted to do something different.
I: What do you like doing in your spare time?
S: Well it might surprise you but I like playing football. I usually play with a team on Saturdays. In the summer, I enjoy swimming and scuba-diving.
I: What else do you like doing?
S: I like listening to music and I’m very interested in cinema too.
I: What kind of job do you hope to have in ten years’ time?
S: I’d really like to work as a television journalist. That’s one of the reasons I’m learning English. I want to get a job with our local TV channel.
I: Do you have any special plans for this weekend?

When I was a child, my aunt Sara had a beautiful ring that I always used to admire. She gave it to me a birthday present, when I turned fifteen. I was absolutely thrilled.
One day last summer, I went to the pool with my friends. We were diving off the high diving board. Suddenly I noticed I wasn’t wearing the ring and I was terribly worried. I kept diving down into the pool looking for the ring on the bottom but I couldn’t see it anywhere. Then I noticed a boy sitting on the side of the pool and holding something in his hand. It was the ring. I explained that it was mine and he gave it back.
After that I saw him at the pool most days and he eventually asked me if I would like to go out with him the following Saturday. We’re still together six months later and he’s even bought me another ring!

Raspunsurile pot varia de la elev la elev; un posibil raspuns poate fi urmatorul:
One day last summer I was at the beach with my friends. A boy/ girl who I really liked was there too that day.

Everyone went in for a swim, but I hadn’t learnt to swim when I was a child. I went into the water too, but then I suddenly noticed that there was a very strong current. I immediately realized that I wouldn’t be able to swim back.
Before long, the boy/ girl who I liked noticed that I was struggling and he/she helped me to swim back.
A few weeks later, I decided to have swimming lessons. To my surprise, the boy/ girl I liked was the swimming instructor!
